Warning!

Just a quick heads-up. You may see less posts from me in the coming week or so. I know, right when I start becoming more active I decide to pull this! At least I'm warning you this time right? Thing is, I'm moving into my own house this weekend. Meaning I'm very busy packing and getting things done for that. Once I'm in the house I may not have internet for awhile. So there ya go. I'm going to try and post up until moving day but no promises. I don't make promises on my blog anymore. It never worked in the past. I suck. Peace!!!!

Arrow Humor

I might do more of these at a later date. There are so many Arrow memes on Stephen Amell's facebook page so I will have plenty of material to share for awhile. By the way, you should check out Mr. Amell's facebook page sometime. He's very active on social media (Twitter and Instagram as well) and is always talking to fans. He supports a lot of charities and hosts many events on his facebook. One of which being Meme Monday. Anways, I promise I wont oversaturate this blog with Arrow stuff. Just finished up that last review and this was fresh in my mind. Enjoy!

 

 

 

 

Arrow: Season 2 Review

Okay people, I'm pretty late with this post. Truth is I finished season 2 shortly after my review of season 1...so last summer. Yea, quite awhile ago. Sorry. Either way, season 2 was simply AMAZING. It solidified my opinion that Arrow is my favorite show...ever. That's right. I've seen a lot of shows, loved a lot of shows (Batman: The Animated Series, Firefly, Parks and Recreation, etc.) and binged watched a lot of shows. But no show has grabbed me like this one. I truly care about the characters and now that I'm watching season 3 live it's been really REALLY hard to wait a week between episodes. I'm invested. I love it. And there's no saving me. In fact, this show has influenced me to look into other media/entertainment on the Green Arrow. A character I cared very little for before investing myself into this program. He even rivals Batman now as my favorite superhero. That's just crazy talk!

I'm pretty sure you have figured out what kind of star-rating I'm going to put down at the end of this here post, so all I'm going to do is write about the most memorable parts of the season. So lets get started.

1. The villain! None other than Slade Wilson, more commonly referred to as Deathstroke. The actor who plays Deathstroke was great. Deathstroke definitely made things interesting for Oliver Queen and his family...to say the least. There were times where I legitimately thought things could not get better for the Arrow. So many challenges were placed in front of him by Slade Wilson. The dude was relentless, ruthless, and worst of all...kind of crazy. Made for one dangerous bad guy and one hell of an entertaining season.

 





2. The Black Canary! I won't go into too much detail regarding this character, but nonetheless it was cool to see her kicking ass and taking names alongside Arrow. It was interesting to see the similarities between the Canary and Arrow as well. Seeing as they both went from killers to heroes, there was much they had in common in the way they handled their aggression and overcame obstacles.

3. Speaking of...when Oliver lost his best friend at the end of season 1 he decided to reassess the way he should "take care of business." Going from vigilante to hero was a constant struggle throughout season 2 and something very exciting to see. Heroes like Batman always had their code of honor, or restrictions. To watch the Arrow struggle with this, it made him feel more real. Weak at times. It made me care more about the character. Good stuff.

4. The introduction of Barry Allen! A taste of things to come. I thought it was genius to introduce the Flash before the premier of the first season of his own show. Almost instantly I was in approval for the actor chosen, Grant Gustin. He's charming, funny and witty. And he fit in perfectly with Team Arrow.

 

 

5. The Suicide Squad. One of the best episodes of the season and what a badass ensemble of baddies to come together. Well, I guess they were forced but it's not like someone put a gun to their heads! Tee hee. Anyways, I love Diggle and to see him team up with the man who killed his brother, that was heavy. You can see the struggle Diggle was having with this. That was half the fun. But it all turned out fairly well in the end. Diggle's military flashback scenes, and the quick tease of Harley Quinn...one amazing episode.

 

 

 

 

Okay. Let me be honest. I have so much more I can say about this show (the last 5 episodes felt like one epic finale, Moira's sacrifice, Oliver's true love, gha...it goes on and on!). What you should do though is check it out for yourself. If you are a comic book fan, or if you just want to watch an entertaining action show that actually has great character interaction and development, give it a shot. There's really not much more I can say, and I really have no complaints. Still a few cheesy points but I guess that's just the CW. I still loved it all. Season 3 is a little more than halfway through right now and all I can say is that it hasn't gotten any worse. Expect a review on that once the season ends. Without further ado, my review for Arrow: Season 2...

So-so Coffee?

Currently I'm sitting down watching Twin Peaks, or attempting to at least. I've heard nothing but good things about this show but so far I'm struggling with it. To be fair I'm only about 15 minutes into episode 2 so I can't really say much. I don't know what it is about the show though but something's bugging me. I think it has to do with the creepy late 80's early 90's music and picture quality. I'm going to continue watching in the hopes that I will get hooked. I really want to like this! God that eerie music never let's up! It's humming along right now as I type! I will post an update on what I think when I get to episode 4 or 5. Stay tuned!

UPDATE 3/8/15 @7:40pm Okay! It's officially growing on me. The creepy song is now stuck in my head and I'm starting to appreciate the weirdness. There are so many characters and they're all strange or interesting in their own way. There's definitely characters I am liking, and characters I'm despising. James is annoying as hell and always has a stupid blank stare on his face. Like a deer in the headlights. Agent Cooper is far and away my favorite character right now. Actually all of the cops are fun to watch interact with each other. I realize this show was meant to be weird and at first I was very uncomfortable watching it, but 5 episodes in I can now say I am embracing the weirdness! If anything, it's a joy to watch all these wackos in their crazy town doing crazy things! Expect a review of season 1 shortly after I finish watching it.
